Founded in 1985 by Sheridan Coakley, SCP is a distinguished modern furniture manufacturer and retailer rooted in the ideals of the Modern Movement. Coakley's vision, inspired by classic designs, led SCP to produce both iconic and contemporary pieces. From its debut at the 1986 Salone del Mobile in Milan, showcasing designs by Matthew Hilton and Jasper Morrison, SCP gained recognition as a pioneering force in the UK and global furniture industry. Over three decades, SCP has consistently introduced new products, collaborating with renowned designers like Terence Woodgate, Konstantin Grcic, and Tom Dixon. Today, SCP stands as an innovative and internationally acclaimed UK manufacturer and retailer, known for functional, enduring, and aesthetically pleasing design. Sheridan Coakley's ongoing involvement ensures a unique English sensibility that is simultaneously contemporary and familiar.
